About our Speaker, Michelle Hirsch
"We are one giant family – the power of Federation."
Michelle Hirsch is the Co-Chair of Jewish Federations of North America’s National Young Leadership Cabinet, the premier leadership philanthropic program for Jewish men and women ages 30-45 across the U.S. and Canada. This year Cabinet celebrates its 55th anniversary; Michelle holds the honor of being the youngest Co-Chair to date.
Within her own community, Cleveland, Ohio, Michelle is an active volunteer and currently sits on the Executive Board of The Jewish Federation of Cleveland, serving as a Campaign Vice Chair and the Women’s Philanthropy Campaign Co-Chair. Her past Federation roles include Young Leadership Chair, Women’s Philanthropy Lion of Judah Co-Chair, as well as a member of the Allocations, Risk Management, Strategic Planning and Executive Board Nominating Committees. Michelle also sits on the Executive Boards of Cleveland’s Jewish Family Services, ORT, The Joseph & Florence Mandel Jewish Day School, and University Hospitals MacDonald Women’s Hospital Leadership Council.
Professionally, Michelle is the Sr. Vice President of Brunswick Companies, the third-generation family-owned insurance and risk management consulting firm serving clients nationwide.
Michelle manages and oversees Brunswick’s key business development, client relationships, and overall business operations. Her clients include large real estate developers, manufacturers, professional service & technology firms, as well as accomplished individuals, professional athletes and family offices.
Crain’s Cleveland Business Magazine selected Michelle as a member of their ’20 in Their 20’s’ Class of 2008 as well their ’40 Under 40’ Class of 2017.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and her MBA from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management.
Michelle’s most valued accomplishment to date, however, include her husband Evan and two children, son Matthew (age 5) and daughter Shaina (3)
